So I promised you more gorgeous photos from my friend Raf...and here they are! She took her best friend Rita to the mountains and took these stunners. I've noticed a lot of editorials shot in the wild lately...especially in the desert, fields or woodlands. So I feel that this shoot is very "of the moment"-I love all the earthy colours. And Rita's hair which I have long been jealous of.

Muse of the Month
I randomly came across this girl the other day: 17 year-old Sky Ferreira. I am by no means the first person to "discover" her...she's a Cobrasnake regular and was involved in a Twitter scandal with Katy Perry recently (Google it if you feel the need). Yeah, she's REALLY gorgeous but she's also talented, I'm currently obsessed with her song "17" and her cover of Miike Snow's "Animal". The video clip for "17" is also one of the best I've seen so far. While we are on the topic of awesome video clips, just a side note, the "Lady and the Tramp" inspired video clip for One Night Only's "Say you don't want it" featuring Emma Watson is HIGHLY adorable. So Youtube both of those things.
Anyway, now is the time for me to shut up and overwhelm you with the unkempt prettiness that is SKY.
I would do disturbing things for her hair.

Best celebrity shoots continued...
In lieu of recent "Twilight" fever, I bring you almost every single member of the cast looking the best they will ever look in Vanity Fair.
I don't know what VF did....but K-Stew looks so much less awkward! And her hair is just perfect! As is Robert's for that matter. They all look smokin' and I think it was just an epic photoshoot.

Sydney vs Melbourne
After a small sojourn in my ex-hometown Sydney over the weekend, I am once again making the comparisons between Melbourne and Sydney. I did this fairly regularly upon moving to Melbourne 3 years ago, and became quite good at explaining just how the two cities differ. My parents and I used to joke that Sydney is the hot blonde, who is a bit of an airhead, and who doesn't have to try too hard to get people to like her because she's just so damn attractive and cool. Melbourne, on the other hand, is the plain, studious brunette, who cleans up well and who constantly puts effort into everything she does, because she is aware that she can't just rely on her looks to pull her through.
In this post I will attempt to do a breakdown of the Sydney vs. Melbourne conundrum by using concepts that are easy to understand-i.e. fashion and celebrities. Enjoy.
THE "IT" BAG
Melbourne: The Chloe Paddington
Simple, but luxe, not entirely on-trend but still undeniably attractive and desirable. It is functional and practical but prevented from being boring through the little details.
Sydney: the Alexander Wang Diego in leopard
Ultra-trendy, in-your-face but in the classiest way possible, not exactly classic, but with a wow-factor that is sure to start conversations. Won't be cool forever, but will be loved forever for the happy memories it inspires.
THE OLSEN TWIN
Melbourne: Ashley
Classic, understated, the less scandalous of the pair. Prefers tailored black and white pieces and statement shoes. A fan of natural hair and makeup which always looks polished and sophisticated.
Sydney: Mary-Kate
Vintage-crazy, eclectic, a risk-taker. Sometimes gets it right, sometimes gets it horribly wrong, but always able to pull it off. Has been known to rock a red lip and questionable hair extensions, as well as outfits worthy of the most derelict hobo.
THE INDIE MUSIC ACT
Melbourne: The XX
Dark and powerful, perfect for a late night, underground cocktail bar like those found in the laneways of the CBD.
Sydney: Lykke Li
Sweet, light, but my no means shallow. Tracks suited to a late-morning brunch by the water.
THE CHANEL RESORT COLLECTION
Melbourne: 2010
Nautical, 1920's and 30's influenced, old glamour with modern touches
Sydney: 2011
70's influenced, colourful, hippy-esque

CFDA
I stumbled across these gorgeous shots of the 2010 CFDA Awards from Tommy Ton (of JakandJil blog) on Style.com, so naturally, I had to share!
Gwyneth Paltrow looking incredible for her age! Or just incredible in general really!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this photo of Alexa Chung
Dunno who this girl is...she's like a combo of Joy Bryant and Jourdan Dunn. Like her wrist bling and jealous of her body.
So beautiful of Doutzen!
Mary-Kate's hair looks a bit ratty but I like it. I wish they'd stop being so monochromatic though.
DIE for Sasha Pivovarova's necklace
Maggie Grace looks so classy and modern
WOW! And look how tiny she is!
Lara Stone. So beautiful until she opens her mouth and speaks.
Rachel Zoe, oh how I love thee.
